About our farm
In March 2024, we were privileged to be able to relocate the Project to take on the tenancy of a 50 acre farm, which is part of the Knightshayes Estate. Located in Tiverton, not far from Blundells School, it is a really convenient location whilst also being a beautiful and peaceful setting for our work.
Bordering a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), the area is awash with wildlife. Foxes, rabbits, squirrels, deer and a whole host of birds share the farmland with us. We have a wide range of habitats within the acreage, including two orchards, pasture, ponds, wetland and woods as well as a range of really useful buildings.
Much of the land and the buildings are in need of some work, as we understand that the farm hasn't been managed as a complete unit for about 20 years. Our aim is to "love it back to life" during our time here, working in line with regenerative farming principles to restore and improve the quality of the soil for the good of both our livestock and the native wildlife as well as repairing and refurbishing the old farm buildings for use with both animals and people.
We are so grateful to the Estate for providing us a wonderful opportunity to move here and expand our work with young people in the local area.
