Motor Vehicle Studies

The Motor Vehicle Studies course is available as an Award at Entry Level 3 and Level 1. Units include:

• Health and safety awareness

• Check and maintain vehicle fluid levels

• Check and maintain motor vehicle external lights

• Clean vehicle interior and exterior

• Remove and replace road wheels

• Check and maintain tyre pressures and tread

• Remove and replace spark plugs

Successful completion of the required number of units will provide enough credits to pass the course. Assessment is through a portfolio of evidence made up of worksheets, assessor observation of the practical tasks and photographs.

This course has quite a lot of theory to cover in addition to the practical elements and it is important that prospective students are made aware of this before they start.
